Multi-Agent Orchestration

FrontierAgentic Protocols and Infrastructure

Multi-agent orchestration is an architecture in which multiple AI agents, often a mix of models with different capability and cost, are coordinated to complete a task together rather than relying on one model for everything. A common pattern pairs an expensive, high-reasoning model as planner or reviewer with cheaper models handling the bulk of execution.

In practice

A support ticket might be triaged and drafted by a fast, cheap model, then checked by a stronger one before it reaches a customer, catching errors without paying the highest price at every step. The saving is real and so is the added complexity: more agents means more places for a failure to begin and more work to trace where it did.
