Microsoft 365 Copilot pricing for UK businesses
Microsoft sells Copilot as an add-on to Microsoft 365 rather than as a standalone product. Smaller firms buy Copilot Business on top of a Microsoft 365 Business plan, or a Business Premium bundle with Copilot built in; larger firms add Microsoft 365 Copilot to an enterprise licence.
Microsoft lists UK prices in sterling, excluding VAT, and we show them as listed. Every Copilot price below is in addition to the Microsoft 365 licence each user already needs, except the bundle, which includes it.

How the enterprise contract works
Microsoft 365 Copilot for enterprise needs a qualifying Microsoft 365 licence for every user, and is bought on an annual commitment, paid yearly or monthly. Most large firms buy it through their Microsoft enterprise agreement or a licensing partner, where the price is set by the agreement rather than the list.
The list price includes Copilot in the Office apps, search across work data, agents grounded in that data, and the analytics to measure adoption. Agent use beyond what the licence includes is metered.
API prices
Microsoft does not sell Copilot by the token. Developers who want the underlying models pay for them through Azure, on separate terms.
Which plan for a 50, 200 and 1,000-person firm
50-person firm
Microsoft 365 Copilot Business
If the firm already runs Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Premium, the Copilot Business add-on is the direct route. Firms not yet on Business Premium should price the bundle instead.

Microsoft 365 Copilot Business
Microsoft 365 Business plans cover up to 300 users, so a 200-person firm still qualifies. Many firms license the heavy Office users first and extend once usage is measured.

1,000-person firm
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Past 300 users the firm is on an enterprise licence, and Copilot is the enterprise add-on. Expect the agreement, not the list price, to set the figure.
